A month of focus, letting go, laughter, clay everywhere, trial and error, an evening each week where everything else fades away.

“Throwing” (the art of using a potter’s wheel) is a technique that asks for patience, softness, and steady practice. Over four Thursday evenings, you’ll dive into the world of wheel throwing and learn the fundamental skills that will support your long-term creative journey.

Course Program

​

During the first evenings, you’ll learn how to wedge your clay to remove air bubbles, center it on the wheel, and shape the essential form in wheel throwing: the cylinder.

As the month unfolds, you’ll discover the meditative beauty of trimming, turning your pieces upside down to carve elegant feet into your bowls and cups, letting delicate ribbons of clay spiral away.

This cycle is designed to give you time, rhythm, and repetition, allowing for small breakthroughs each week that slowly build your confidence on the wheel.

Once you feel at ease with these foundations, you’ll have the option to continue your journey with our Wheel Throwing Deep Dive, the natural next step for growing your skills and exploring more complex forms.

After completing the cycle, you’ll have the possibility to book a wheel during our member sessions to continue practicing, since mastery comes from showing up again and again.

The course will be conducted in English and the teacher also speaks French and Spanish.

The introductory course is limited to 8 participants, creating a warm, intimate environment of 16 hands working together.
