Introduction to
Throwing on the Potter's Wheel

A weekend of focus, letting go, laughter, clay everywhere, trial and error, where everything else fades away, as if on another planet.

"Throwing" (the art of using a potter's wheel) is a technique that requires patience and practice to master. During these two intensive days, you’ll dive into the world of wheel throwing and learn the fundamental skills to start your creative journey.

Course Program

In the first part of the course, you’ll learn how to wedge the clay to remove air bubbles, center it on the wheel, and create the essential form of all pottery: the cylinder! In the second part, you’ll explore the art of trimming by turning your pieces upside down on the wheel to carve the feet of your bowls and cups, letting delicate ribbons of clay fly.

After this immersive experience, you’ll have the opportunity to book a wheel during member sessions to continue practicing, as only regular practice will lead to mastery of this art.
