5 Tuesday Evenings This Winter from 6:30 - 9:00 pm Surface Design is a 5-week course introducing students to creative printmaking techniques for ceramics, giving you a launching point to advance your own unique style. Expect a rich variety of images, textures, patterns, layers, and colors. Join us to learn how to decorate clay and bring a distinctive, personal touch to your work. Aude, your instructor, will guide you through demonstrations and exercises in a playful, creative environment. The course will be given in English and Aude also speaks French. 🔅 THE COURSE WILL COVER 🔅 🔸 Transferring shapes onto clay 🔸 Work with clay inlays 🔸 Sgraffito technique 🔸 Slip trailing 🔸 Stamping and imprinting (sprigs) 🔸 Paper stencils 🔸 Water etching using wax resist 🔅 FINISHED WORK 🔅 Each participant will create a series of postcard-sized test tiles or plates as a visual archive, plus a final vessel or wall piece, all decorated using techniques you’ve learned. Glazing will be completed on the final evening of the course. 🔅 SMALL GROUP 🔅 he course is limited to a maximum of 7 students, forming a cozy group of 14 hands, perfect for learning from one another. 🔅 PRICE 🔅 The fee includes all materials, clay, and firing for your test tiles and one final piece. ⚠️ TERMS AND CONDITIONS ⚠️ 🔸 Please plan to attend all 5 sessions, as each class builds on previous ones. Missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled. 🔸 A minimum of 4 participants is required for the course to proceed. If the course is canceled, you will receive a refund or the option to reschedule. 🔸 If additional time is needed to finish your work, you may book member hours to continue your project. 📜 Cancellation Policy : Our workshops fill up quickly and rely on a minimum number of participants to run. To ensure fairness for both our participants and instructors, the following policy applies: 🥝 1. Cancellation by You All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@studio-kiwi.com. 🔸 More than 2 weeks before the workshop date:\ Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee, or rescheduled at no cost. 🔸 Between 1 and 2 weeks before the workshop date:\ 50% of the workshop fee refunded, minus a 10% administrative fee.\ 👉 If a replacement is found for your spot (by you or Studio Kiwi), the workshop can be rescheduled at no cost. 🔸 Less than 1 week before the workshop date:\ The workshop fee is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.\ 👉 If a replacement is found for your spot (by you or Studio Kiwi), the workshop can be rescheduled at no cost. 🔸 No-shows:\ If you do not attend without notifying us in advance, the workshop fee is forfeit with no refund, no credit, and no rescheduling. 🥝 2. Cancellations by Studio Kiwi If we need to cancel a workshop before it takes place, you will receive a full refund. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and to find a new date. 🔸 If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will contact you at least 24 hours in advance to offer a full refund or a new date.
