How to glaze in our workshop π¨
Service Description
This glazing session is for: πΈ Anyone who has not yet glazed in our studio. πΈ Those who have completed a hand-building or throwing intro course and wish to glaze their first pieces. πΈ External artists/potters with bisque-fired work in our studio who wish to use our glazes and fire their pieces at 1250Β°C. π LANGUAGE π The class will primarily be conducted in English. π PROGRAM π In this class, we will cover the basics of glaze, the chemical transformations during firing, and how to interpret glaze samples. Weβll demonstrate various glazing techniques such as dipping, pouring, and using a chocolate fountain. Weβll also review safety procedures for both your work and our kiln, as well as studio safety rules. The class includes 45 minutes of instruction and demonstration, followed by individual glazing time. Cleanup will start 15 minutes before the end. π IMPORTANT π You must have bisque-fired work ready in our workshop to participate in this class. We do not provide items for glazing. π AFTER THE COURSE π Your glazed pieces will be fired and ready for pickup within 10 days after the class. Check our Studio Blog on the website for updates. After the class, you are welcome to glaze more independently during member sessions (see "Studio Members" on our website). π PRICE π Includes all glazes available that day and the firing of your glazed work at 1250Β°C. β οΈ TERMS AND CONDITIONS β οΈ πΈ If you cannot complete your glazing to your satisfaction during the class, you may continue working on your pieces during member session hours. π Cancellation Policy : Our workshops fill up quickly and rely on a minimum number of participants to run. To ensure fairness for both our participants and instructors, the following policy applies: π₯ 1. Cancellation by You All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@studio-kiwi.com. πΈ More than 2 weeks before the workshop date:\ Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee, or rescheduled at no cost. πΈ Between 1 and 2 weeks before the workshop date:\ 50% of the workshop fee refunded, minus a 10% administrative fee.\ π If a replacement is found for your spot (by you or Studio Kiwi), the workshop can be rescheduled at no cost. πΈ Less than 1 week before the workshop date:\ The workshop fee is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.\ π If a replacement is found for your spot (by you or Studio Kiwi), the workshop can be rescheduled at no cost. πΈ No-shows:\ If you do not attend without notifying us in advance, the workshop fee is forfeit with no refund, no credit, and no rescheduling. π₯ 2. Cancellations by Studio Kiwi If we need to cancel a workshop before it takes place, you will receive a full refund. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and to find a new date. πΈ If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will contact you at least 24 hours in advance to offer a full refund or a new date. By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge and accept the terms of this cancellation policy.
