Teacher and studio founder Camille welcomes you for this in depth course of 17 hours over one weekend and one evening that will allow you to dive deep into clay and get your hands dirty ! You will learn about the magic of clay, make your first work with the three ancestral hand-modelling techniques (pinching, coiling, slabbing), and will discover how to glaze with powders that the kiln will transform into colourful glass coatings, all while creating and sharing in a little workshop hidden in the center of Brussels. The course is playful and informative, and will allow you to get acquainted with the basics of the ceramic process to proudly bring home 4 hand-made, functional pottery objects 10 or so days after the end of the course (because the work needs time to dry and to be fired!). Just bring your favourite apron or overalls, and a simple yummy dish to share for the lunch breaks. Completing this course means you are part of the Studio Kiwi community and allows you to sign-up to our member sessions and memberships to continue claying in our studio during the week with the support of our lovely staff. Please note this course does not include the potter's-wheel technique. We propose separate courses for this approach and recommend it after this hand-building course. The course shall be given in English. Price: * 260€ for the full course on the set dates (tva included) * Includes all the material and the firings (cooking of clay) Small group: The intro course welcomes max 8 participants at once. We will be a warm little gang of 16 hands. Terms and conditions : **Please ensure you can attend all three dates of the course. The classes are usually full so we can't move people between them. We do offer an extra glazing session per month at additional costs. ** If you are not able to complete your work to the detail you would like during the course hours, you can continue working on your pieces during our member opening hours by booking a table. This is not included in the pack of the course.

Cancelation Policy

If for medical reasons or any other reason you are unable to attend your booked course/workshop/member session, you can be refunded, or reprogram to a future date, or find a remplacement according to the time delays below : FOR ALL INTRO COURSES / LEVEL 2 COURSES / PRIVATE WORKSHOPS / KIDS : ** Booking refundable/reprogrammable if informed MORE THAN 2 WEEKS in advance of start date (minus 5% booking fee if refunded) ** Booking refunded/reprogrammable by 50% if informed LESS THAN TWO WEEKS in advance of start date, unless a replacement is found by you or us (minus 5% booking fee if refunded 50%) ** Booking not refundable/reprogrammable LESS THEN 1 WEEK before the start date unless a replacement is found by you FOR MEMBER SESSIONS : **Bookings can be cancelled or modified MINIMUM 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE **Less than 3 days before, you shall be accounted for your booking unless you find a replacement with another member on our community Facebook group "Mud Gang" (Reprogramming a booking to a future date may be limited to our studio/staff availability.
